PulseSSH Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PulseSSH handles data when you use the PulseSSH application and related support channels.

PulseSSH is developed and operated by Hari Rajagopalan.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the PulseSSH desktop application, optional cloud sync features, related export and backup functions, and direct support communications about the app.

2. What PulseSSH Is

PulseSSH is a network and SSH operations application that lets you store connection metadata, run network tools, manage snippets and notes, and optionally sync selected app data through Apple iCloud / CloudKit.

PulseSSH is not a managed SSH relay, VPN provider, cloud hosting service, or remote infrastructure operator. Connections are initiated by you to systems you choose.

3. Data Stored by the App

PulseSSH may store the following categories of app data on your device:

4. Secrets and Sensitive Credentials

PulseSSH is designed so that secrets are handled separately from normal app records.

You remain responsible for how you manage secrets, what systems you connect to, and whether you enable any Apple services that may themselves sync credentials under Apple’s own policies.

5. Optional iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud Sync, PulseSSH may sync selected app data through Apple’s private CloudKit database tied to your Apple ID. This may include:

Cloud sync is optional. If enabled, Apple processes that synced data as part of providing iCloud / CloudKit services. Apple’s handling of iCloud account data is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

6. Data PulseSSH Does Not Intentionally Collect for the Developer

As of the effective date above, PulseSSH is intended to operate without developer-run analytics, advertising SDKs, or developer-operated telemetry pipelines inside the app for normal use.

However:

7. Network Activity

PulseSSH may initiate network activity when you choose to:

Remote systems and networks may log connection details including source IP, timestamps, usernames, request metadata, or command-related context. PulseSSH does not control third-party logging on systems you access.

8. Imports, Exports, and Backups

When you choose to import, export, back up, or restore data:

If you share, upload, or store exported files outside the app, that handling is outside this policy.

9. Support Communications

If you contact support by email or another support channel, the developer may receive and keep the information you provide, such as:

Do not send passwords, private keys, passphrases, or other secrets in support requests.

10. Security

PulseSSH uses Apple platform features and reasonable application design measures intended to reduce unnecessary exposure of sensitive information. No software or storage mechanism is completely secure.

You are responsible for:

11. Retention

Data stored locally generally remains on your device until you edit, delete, clear, export, restore, or uninstall the app. Data synced through iCloud may remain subject to Apple’s retention and recovery systems until deleted from the app and/or your associated Apple services.

Support emails and related correspondence may be retained for support, product improvement, abuse prevention, security review, and legal compliance.

12. Children

PulseSSH is not directed to children under 13, and it is not intended for use as a child-focused product.

13. International Use

If you use PulseSSH outside your home jurisdiction, your data may be processed through Apple services or third-party networks in other regions, subject to applicable platform and infrastructure policies.

14. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Material updates may be posted through the app, repository, release notes, website, or another reasonable notice channel.
